How Does It Work?

Designing a room from head to toe involves connecting and creating a full picture with layers of texture, color and surfaces. This home already looked picture perfect! It had lots of great layers: A sleek stone hearth and mantle, the rustic yet modern caramel wood table, a textured woven chair with a velvety soft sofa and accessories full of personality. And yet, once we suggested and showed a variety of color combinations for the walls, the room went from picture perfect to perfectly "them."

There were several that would have accomplished this mission, but our favorite (and the homeowners, too) was the combination of an earthy-rooted neutral purple, Devine Bavarian, with a golden sunburst, Devine Teak. We know we did our job when color combinations uniquely connect a home owner's personality to their home in a visually meaningful way.
